Clean and restore closed pond at chemical facility.
Stabilized pond bottom, placed and regraded site fill, brought in sand and clay, installed treatment amendment delivery system and managed reconstruction of drainage sewer and outfall.
Hulcher managed the project all the way through placement of topsoil and seeding, and completed the work on schedule.
A chemical manufacturing facility was closing a pond on their property, and the pond required remediation before it was filled in. They needed a contractor with the expertise and heavy equipment to clean and restore the site.
Hulcher’s crews stabilized the pond bottom using fly ash and cement kiln dust to bind the matrix, placed and regraded the site fill material and brought in sand and clay to fill the pond.
Part of the project included the construction and installation of a treatment amendment delivery system to inject treatment chemicals into the bottom of the cell. Hulcher also managed the reconstruction of a drainage sewer and outfall.
Hulcher completed the project by placing topsoil and seeding the area for grass.
Over a two-month period Hulcher transformed a closed pond that was an eyesore into an attractive, open space that added visual appeal to the property. Hulcher’s environmental professionals led this project from start to finish, and their expertise resulted in a properly remediated space with all the necessary drainage to keep it functional and aesthetically pleasing for years to come.
